I’m a graduating senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia, getting my degree in Journalism with an emphasis in writing and reporting. I’d always been a type-B, artistic, and creative kid. Journalism seemed like the natural next steps for a voracious reader and writer like me.

When I got to Mizzou, I dove in headfirst to the journalism world (something I tend to do when it comes to most things I’m interested in). But working in the newsroom, constantly churning out headlines and breaking news, I started to feel like something was missing.

That creative spark that had fueled me in my younger years was flickering.
